Electrical Engineering Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technicianto support the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of electrical systems within residential construction projects. The role requires strong technical capability, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality electrical solutions that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, layout, and specification of electrical systems for new home builds and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements.
• Support electricians and construction teams by interpreting plans, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to ensure correct installation and integration of electrical components.
• Conduct testing, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions to maintain safety and performance.
• Prepare technical documentation, including installation records, testing reports, and modification notes, in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Assist with project planning, including estimating materials, coordinating timelines, and supporting resource allocation for electrical works.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to continuous improvement in electrical design, energy efficiency, and smart‑home integration.
