Our client, a well-established family-owned business servicing the Western Australian mining industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join their growing team.
Supporting operations throughout the Goldfields and Pilbara regions, this business specialises in weighing, measuring and instrumentation systems and has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality technical solutions to major mining operations across WA.

The Opportunity
Working across both site and workshop environments, you will play a key role in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of specialised weighing and measuring equipment used throughout the mining sector.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct programmed maintenance and refurbishment of operational weighing and measuring equipment
  • Perform installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment
  • Complete workshop-based assembly, testing, repairs and production tasks
  • Prepare and issue service, inspection and calibration reports
  • Assist with planning and scheduling upcoming service work
  • Support the design and development of new systems and solutions
  • Deliver high-quality technical support and customer service on site

Comprehensive training will be provided to familiarise you with the company's products, systems and extensive customer network.
About You

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience servicing Weightometers and Belt Scale systems
  • Instrumentation Trade Certificate or Cert IV in Instrumentation/Electrical
  • Current Restricted Electrical Licence
  • Experience with weighing, measuring and instrumentation equipment
  • Current White Card / Construction Induction Card

Lifestyle & Travel Requirements
This role involves regular travel to mine sites across Western Australia and may require periods away from home.Successful candidates must be prepared for:

  • Physically and mentally demanding work environments
  • Site-specific inductions and training
  • Ongoing medical assessments
  • Regular drug and alcohol screening in line with mine site requirements
