About this role

We're looking for a confident, caring and organised Educator to join our team at Only About Children Rose Bay Village campus! This is a role for someone who loves supporting a room, building strong relationships and creating the kind of calm, engaging environment where children and educators can thrive.

About our Rose Bay Village campus

There's a beautiful sense of warmth and belonging at Rose Bay Village. Set on Newcastle Street, close to New South Head Road, the campus has a true village feel where children, families and educators feel known and welcomed. With local shops, libraries, community gardens and onsite parking nearby, it feels deeply connected to everyday Rose Bay life.

Inside, Rose Bay Village feels thoughtful, joyful and full of care. Children enjoy large outdoor play areas, age-based indoor spaces, an onsite kitchen, library and Zen room. Families often describe the campus as more like a village than a daycare, with familiar faces, beautiful food and strong communication. It's a campus where children feel safe, valued and loved.

About the role

As an Educator, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day educational, operational and people outcomes within your room, alongside your room leader and fellow educators. You'll support curriculum delivery, child safe practice, team communication and family partnerships, while delivering high-quality care and learning. The way you set the rhythm, support your team and build trust with families shapes the experience of every child in your room. Your guideship helps children feel settled, educators feel confident and families feel connected. With us, you'll see your impact in stronger room culture, richer learning and children who feel safe, capable and ready to participate.

What you'll do

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the EYLF and OAC Grow Curriculum.
  • Support children's wellbeing, routines, agency and sense of belonging through responsive everyday practice.
  • Observe, analyse and document children's learning, interests and development with increasing autonomy.
  • Set up and adapt learning environments that promote curiosity, inclusion and engagement.
  • Build respectful, trusting relationships with families and communicate confidently about children's routines and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, Room Leaders and Educational Leaders to support consistency and quality.
  • Contribute to reflective practice, QIP activities, compliance and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a room or team in an ECEC setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
  • Strong people leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage room priorities, family communication and quality expectations.
  • Current Working with Children Check and relevant state-based child protection clearance.

What we offer

  • Above award pay and recognition, including worker retention payment, Thank You and Excellence Awards, loyalty milestones and our Refer a Friend Program
  • Up to 50% childcare discount for eligible team members, plus paid parental leave and salary sacrifice options.
  • Leadership and professional development, including access to Grow Curriculum training, Nurture Inspire Program and expert-led Soundbite sessions.
  • Career pathways into Assistant Director, Educational Leader and Campus Director opportunities, supported by leadership coaching.
  • Education assistance and qualification support, including financial contributions and paid study leave where eligible.
  • Wellbeing support, including two Wellbeing Days, additional leave purchase options and 24/7 TELUS Health EAP access.
  • Everyday savings through OAC Rewards, with discounts across groceries, retail and more.
  • The opportunity to lead a room where relationships, care and quality matter every day.
