Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services – Tertiary Teaching Hospital

Location: Northern Tasmania, Australia

Employment Type: Fixed-Term, Full-Time (2 years)

Salary: AUD $222,789 - $319,701 p.a. + 12% superannuation + benefits

About the Role

An outstanding senior medical leadership opportunity within a leading public health service. Reporting to executive leadership, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across clinical governance, quality and safety, medical workforce management, service planning, and performance improvement.

You will work closely with clinical and executive teams to support high-quality, patient-centred care while driving a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
  • Senior medical leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in clinical governance and healthcare quality

Desirable: RACMA Fellowship (or working towards) and a current driver's licence.
