- Manage major and complex strategic land use and planning policy projects.

The position will be responsible for managing a range of major and complex strategic land use and planning policy projects and tasks, including the development, implementation and monitoring of Council’s development contributions programs, planning for adequate infrastructure provision for the Shire and broader reviews of the strategic planning framework, providing timely and effective planning information and inclusive community consultation activities.
The role is responsible for ensuring that policies and strategies provide for the development and maintenance of a high-quality natural and built environment which values heritage, livable communities and sustainable transport.
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Business or Law and/or equivalent.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act as it relates to development contributions and community infrastructure provision, and demonstrated ability to prepare Development Contributions plans and supporting documentation in accordance with all statutory requirements and current best practice.
