Join Deaf Connect as a Speech Language Pathologist and enjoy a flexible role combining telehealth, face-to-face service delivery and travel to North Queensland.

You’ll manage a varied clinical caseload, delivering assessment and intervention to support Deaf and hard of hearing clients to achieve meaningful communication and participation outcomes. You’ll also work alongside Allied Health Assistants, developing treatment plans and providing the direct support and supervision they need to safely and effectively deliver delegated therapy activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a varied Speech Pathology caseload and deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention
  • Develop individualised, client and family-centred therapy and treatment plans
  • Develop treatment plans and programs for delivery by Allied Health Assistants within their scope of practice
  • Provide direct support, instruction and clinical supervision to Allied Health Assistants delivering delegated therapy activities
  • Monitor client progress and review or adjust delegated treatment plans as required
  • Conduct assessments and prepare high-quality reports and recommendations
  • Deliver services through telehealth and face-to-face practice
  • Travel to North Queensland as required to support client and service needs
  • Collaborate with families, educators and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Participate in clinical supervision, peer learning and continuous improvement

About You

You’ll have a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia, along with strong clinical, communication and organisational skills.

Experience in paediatrics, early intervention, NDIS, Deaf and hard of hearing services, Auslan or telehealth is valued but not essential.

If you don’t know Auslan, we’ll support and invest in your learning.
