Wangaratta Community Mental Health is seeking a full-time, permanent Mental Health Clinician to join our team, with applications open to professionals in Nursing, Allied Health, and Psychology.

About the Role

As a member of the Continuing Care Team, you will deliver assertive, recovery-focused care to a diverse client group within the local community. You will work alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team of experienced clinicians within a collaborative environment.

Key Requirements

We are seeking applicants who possess:

  • Professional Registration: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist, or eligibility/membership with the AASW for Social Workers.
  • Specialised Qualifications: Post-graduate qualifications in mental health, a specialist undergraduate psychiatric or related program, or current progress toward completing these qualifications.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Sound understanding of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022, Psychiatric Service Frameworks Procedures and Guidelines, and other relevant clinical legislation.

Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies. The diversity of our service provides a range of experiences for our team and will assist you in expanding and embedding your clinical practice skills.
