Workforce Partner - Sunraysia

KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Connect people with employment opportunities in the community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers and industry stakeholders.
  • Deliver tailored workforce solutions and support job seekers in achieving sustainable employment.

At MADEC, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth, and with that comes opportunity. We’re building a passionate, driven team focused on creating real employment outcomes for people in our communities.

This is your chance to step into a role where your ideas, energy and connections can genuinely make a difference.

About the Role

As a Workforce Partner, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting people with opportunity. This is a dynamic, highly relationship-driven and face-to-face role where you’ll work closely with employers, industry and job seekers to create sustainable employment pathways.

You’ll be out in the community building relationships, opening doors and having meaningful conversations with employers. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable walking into a business, introducing themselves and confidently starting a conversation, whether they’re speaking with a small local employer, an industry leader or a room full of stakeholders.

Think face-to-face marketing and business development, but with a deeply meaningful purpose. You’ll use your confidence, commercial instincts and relationship-building skills to uncover opportunities that can genuinely change someone’s life.

You’ll identify business opportunities across your region, build strong employer partnerships and design tailored workforce solutions that meet real industry needs.

If you thrive on building connections, thinking creatively and delivering results - this role is for you!

What You’ll Be Doing

Business Development & Employer Engagement

  • Build and grow strong partnerships with employers and industry stakeholders
  • Proactively engage with local businesses face-to-face to uncover workforce opportunities
  • Identify labour market opportunities, skills shortages and employment trends
  • Develop and deliver tailored workforce solutions and labour market plans
  • Lead presentations, proposals and employer negotiations
  • Facilitate industry engagement activities and targeted recruitment campaigns

Participant Support & Employment Outcomes

  • Prepare job seekers for employment through tailored programs and activities
  • Deliver vacancy sessions, pre-employment programs and industry initiatives
  • Conduct interviews and match candidates to suitable roles
  • Provide post-placement support to help achieve sustainable employment outcomes
  • Support job seekers with resumes, interview skills and job search strategies

Collaboration & Service Delivery

  • Work closely with internal teams across Employment Services, Training and Labour Hire
  • Partner with external providers and community organisations
  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and workforce solutions

Administration & Performance

  • Maintain accurate records and meet key performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance with Employment Services guidelines and legislation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery

What We’re Looking For

You’re a confident, natural relationship-builder who is equally comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a business or presenting to a group.

You don’t need to come directly from Employment Services. Your background might be in business development, recruitment, sales, account management, community engagement or face-to-face marketing. What matters is that you know how to connect with people, build trust and turn conversations into opportunities.

You’re someone who:

  • Is confident engaging face-to-face with people at all levels
  • Loves building relationships and influencing outcomes
  • Is proactive and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them
  • Has experience in business development, recruitment, sales, marketing or employment services
  • Thrives in a target-driven environment
  • Communicates confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Is resilient, organised, adaptable and solutions-focused

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience in employer engagement, business development, reverse marketing, cold calling or similar
  • Strong knowledge of local labour markets (or the curiosity and drive to build it quickly)
  • Confidence working with diverse cohorts
  • Solid administration and computer skills

Why Join MADEC?

  • Join us as we expand our team and our impact
  • Use your commercial and relationship-building skills for something genuinely meaningful
  • Build connections across the local business and industry community
  • Make a tangible difference in people’s lives through sustainable employment
  • Work in a role that blends business development, relationship-building and purpose
  • Be supported by a collaborative, values-driven organisation

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you love the energy of business development and face-to-face engagement but want to use those skills for something more meaningful than simply making a sale, we’d love to hear from you.

Bring your confidence, your connections and your ability to open doors... and help us turn those opportunities into employment outcomes that matter.

Apply now with your cover letter and help shape the future of employment in your region.
