Based in Mainlands, this opportunity offers free parking, flexible working hours and the chance to work closely with senior operational stakeholders to support financial decision-making and governance activities.Your new roleReporting to senior leadership within the business, you will provide trusted financial advice and support across a diverse operational portfolio. Acting as a key finance partner, you will assist stakeholders with budgeting, forecasting, expenditure analysis and financial reporting to ensure informed decisions are made, and financial outcomes are effectively managed.Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with operational leaders to provide financial advice and guidance
- Monitoring expenditure and budget performance across the portfolio
- Preparing forecasts, variance analysis and management reports
- Supporting financial governance and compliance activities
- Assisting stakeholders to understand financial performance and budget positions
- Providing recommendations to improve financial management and reporting outcomes
- Supporting project-related financial activities and ongoing budget submissions
- Liaising with central finance functions to ensure accurate financial information and reporting
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar advisory position
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
- The ability to build relationships and influence non-financial stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-driven approach
- Experience working within a State Government or WA Police environment will be highly regarded
- Exposure to SAP and financial management systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of project and portfolio financial management processes will be beneficial
