Our client is a multi-purpose health service in Weipa, QLD with a focus on patient care, offering a range of services including but not limited to emergency, general ward, medical imaging, residential aged care, and allied health services. The facility operates 24 hours per day 7 days a week and are one of the main providers of health services in the region.
 
All about the role
We are seeking a confident locum dual trained sonographer / radiographer or an experienced sonographer for a varied locum role in Weipa, QLD. We need someone with a minimum of 5 years’ post graduate rural and remote experience and very strong obstetric skills.   Patient numbers vary each day, medium sized hospital with busy case load. Administration support available however, there are no Radiologists on site. 
Hours of work: Mon-Friday 0800-1600.
Please note: There is unlikely to be any on call or weekend work.
  
The locum dates: 25th November to 13th December.
 
All about the duties will I perform?

• Perform a broad range of scans with high attention to detail
• Provide a high level of patient care at all times.
• Confidently work in a rural and remote hospital
• Demonstrate effective communication with colleagues and patients. 

The skills and experience I need for this job

• Ability to meet our clients’ credentialing requirements.
• Unrestricted AHPRA and ASAR Registration
• QLD Radiation Use licence
• Demonstrated experience working in a similar position| Rural and remote experience is essential for this role.
• Strong obstetric skills are required for this role including nuchals
