Chinchilla Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a short-term contract from 20th January to 2nd February 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment while making a positive impact on patient care in a rural setting.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across various departments.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff during night shifts, taking charge of the unit as required.
• Execute advanced nursing procedures, including cannulation and venepuncture.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning.

Key Requirements:

• Flexibility to work across all shifts, including taking charge as RN on night shifts.
• Competence in triage and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
• Proficiency in cannulation and venepuncture.
• Previous experience in rural or remote healthcare settings.

• Accommodation: Single ensuite accommodation is available (no pets allowed).
