Our client is looking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse, Scrub Scout, to join a busy operating theatre team, on a full or part time basis.
About the Facility
A well established private surgical hospital in Melbourne, with an operating theatre providing services across several specialties including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Vascular and Interventional Pain.
The Role
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary operating theatre team, performing Scrub Scout duties across a range of surgical specialties, with a Monday to Friday roster, limited weekend work and no public holidays.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing Ophthalmic Scrub Scout duties within the operating theatre
- Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff to ensure smooth surgical workflow
- Preparing operating theatres, surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures
- Maintaining sterile field and strict infection control standards
- Providing guidance and support to Enrolled Nurses and junior staff
What You Will Need
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated Scrub Scout experience within an operating theatre
- Experience in a perioperative nursing environment
- Full working rights in Australia (essential requirement)
