One fixed full time vacancy is available from 04/01/2027 for 12 months

This position provides specialist paediatric care to patients within the Paediatric Department of the Royal Darwin Hospital, regional hospitals and remote communities; and to contribute to post graduate education at Royal Darwin Hospital, including the supervision of paediatric trainees.

  1. Provide specialist paediatric care of infants, children and young adults admitted at the Royal Darwin Hospital including afterhours cover.
  2. Conduct regular paediatric outpatient sessions at the Royal Darwin Hospital and in remote communities.
  3. Supervise and report on inpatients
  4. Provide specialist paediatric advice to colleagues in geographically isolated centres in the NT.
  5. Participate in continuous medical education including undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, professional development, peer review, research, and quality improvement activities.
  6. Collaborate with other medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to review and revise policies, procedures and guidelines in line with national and international recommendations.
