Queensland Corrective Services (QCS)

  2. Permanent, full-time, Monday – Friday (flexible arrangements may be considered)
  3. Base salary + 12.75% superannuation + 17.5% leave loading

The role:

You’ll join our team at the Palen Creek Correctional Centre, which accommodates low security male prisoners. As part of the mental health services team, you’ll provide a range of clinical support to adults in our care including:

  1. Conducting independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk
  2. Providing psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment options to individuals
  3. Delivering individual or group-based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience

The Location:

The centre is situated in the picturesque Scenic Rim Region, around 1-2 hours drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The area is surrounded by national parks with rainforests, waterfalls and mountain ranges in every direction.
