About the Role

1 year fixed term role covering for Mat leave, you will play a pivotal role in delivering commercial insights that influence business performance and strategic decision-making across Endeavour Energy.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing financial and commercial expertise to support key business initiatives, improve performance outcomes and drive value across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders, influencing decision-making and contributing to the delivery of long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial decision support and actionable financial insights to improve business outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and become a trusted business partner to operational and corporate stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of business strategy by identifying opportunities, risks and financial impacts.
  • Lead month-end activities, budgeting, planning and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse key financial and operational drivers to support informed decision-making.
  • Support business case development from inception through to implementation and approval.
  • Provide commercial and financial input into Australian Energy Regulator (AER) submissions and Regulatory Information Notice (RIN) requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing financial processes, reporting and business performance.
  • Champion a culture of safety, sustainability and accountability.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including complex data analysis and financial modelling.
  • Strong experience working with ERP and financial management systems.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior finance business partnering, commercial finance or financial planning role.
  • Experience within industries such as Utilities, Energy, Construction, Consulting, Financial Services or similar complex environments will be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support strategic decision-making through commercial insight.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Commercial acumen with a focus on driving value while maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk and regulatory environments.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
