Contract Administrator
We're partnering with a long-established, family-owned construction business with over 70 years’ experience delivering quality commercial, institutional and community projects across Sydney, Newcastle and the NSW South Coast. They’re known for hands-on leadership, strong client relationships and a commitment to excellence on every build.
About the Role
 
As a Contract Administrator, you’ll be an integral part of the commercial delivery team, supporting the successful administration of contracts and commercial processes across a range of projects including commercial buildings, education facilities, medical and community infrastructure. This is a hands-on role working with project teams to ensure contractual compliance, cost control, and accurate reporting from site through to completion.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with contract documentation and administration across multiple projects
  • Review and assess progress claims, variations, extensions of time and claims
  • Prepare and issue subcontractor letters, scopes, and formal correspondence
  • Support procurement and subcontractor engagement processes
  • Maintain contract registers, records and project documentation
  • Assist with commercial reporting, invoicing and cost tracking
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Support issue resolution and negotiation with subcontractors and consultants

Requirements

  • Previous experience in contract administration on commercial or institutional building projects
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal teams, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, project-focused environment
