As the business continues to operate and develop, the volume of operational, customer, fleet, compliance and business information requiring analysis and management has increased. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Information & Organisation Analyst to support the business in analysing organisational information, reviewing existing information systems and processes, improving information flows and developing effective reporting and information management practices.

This is a professional analytical role focused on improving how organisational information is collected, structured, analysed, communicated and used across the business to support effective management and decision-making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  1. Analysing the organisation's information requirements and reviewing how operational, administrative, customer and management information is collected, maintained, processed and communicated across the business.
  2. Examining existing organisational information systems, reporting processes, information flows and business procedures to identify deficiencies, duplication, information gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Consulting with management and relevant internal stakeholders to identify organisational information requirements and determine appropriate information management and reporting solutions.
  4. Developing and recommending improvements to information management systems, organisational procedures, reporting frameworks and information flows to improve efficiency, accuracy and accessibility of business information.
  5. Collecting, analysing and interpreting organisational and operational data to identify trends, patterns, risks and performance issues and provide meaningful information to management.
  6. Designing and maintaining management reports, information frameworks, analytical tools and reporting procedures to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  7. Evaluating the effectiveness of existing organisational systems and procedures and recommending changes to improve the quality, consistency and reliability of information used throughout the business.
  8. Preparing detailed analytical reports, recommendations and briefing documents for management based on the evaluation of organisational information and business processes.
  9. Establishing and maintaining procedures for the effective classification, storage, retrieval, integrity and management of organisational information and records.
  10. Assisting with the development and implementation of improved information systems, reporting processes and organisational procedures across relevant areas of the business.
  11. Liaising with management, administrative personnel and operational stakeholders to ensure information systems and reporting processes meet the practical requirements of the organisation.
  12. Monitoring and evaluating newly implemented information systems, procedures and reporting processes and recommending further improvements where required.
  13. Analysing information relating to business performance, service delivery, fleet utilisation, customer requirements and operational activities to support organisational planning and management decisions.
  14. Ensuring organisational information and reporting practices are accurate, consistent and maintained in accordance with internal procedures and applicable business and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants should have:

  1. A relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Information Management, Business, Commerce, Business Analytics, Management or a closely related discipline.
  2. Relevant professional experience in information analysis, organisational analysis, information management, business systems or a related professional role.
  3. Demonstrated experience analysing organisational information, systems, processes and reporting requirements.
  4. Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to identify information and process deficiencies and develop practical recommendations for improvement.
  6. Experience preparing analytical and management reports and presenting findings and recommendations to management.
  7. Strong understanding of organisational information flows, reporting systems and business processes.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult effectively with management and other stakeholders.
  9. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  10. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and particularly Microsoft Excel, together with the ability to work with business information and reporting systems.
  11. Experience within the transport, freight or logistics industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.

You will be an analytical and organised professional with the ability to understand complex organisational information and translate data and business requirements into practical improvements.

You will have the ability to independently review information systems and organisational processes, identify deficiencies and provide well-reasoned recommendations to management.

You will also be comfortable consulting with stakeholders across different areas of the business to understand their information requirements and improve the way information is captured, analysed, reported and used for decision-making.
