We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Boilermaker and Fitter team within a busy precast concrete manufacturing plant. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is committed to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, coordinating a skilled trades team, and ensuring plant equipment runs efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of boilermakers and fitters to deliver planned and breakdown maintenance
- Schedule, prioritise, and coordinate maintenance activities across the plant
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with WHS standards
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions on plant and equipment
- Drive preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage maintenance records, reporting, and spare parts inventory
- Liaise with production teams to minimise disruption and optimise output
About You
- Trade qualified Boilermaker, Fitter, or equivalent
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing, heavy industry, or precast/concrete environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with welding and fabrication experience highly regarded
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Solid understanding of preventative maintenance systems and practices
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
