Financial Control Lead - WorkDay

We are currently exclusively partnering with a PE backed company about to undertake a major Workday implementation on the search for a Financial Control Lead.

This is a fixed term program role covering core Financials with the initial focus being embedding financial control structure across the Workday build, working as a key part of the project team.

The key duties of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Owning financial control across the Workday core Financials build
• Leading consolidations and cost allocation design and configuration
• Partnering with the HCM/Payroll stream and joint program roles including Data, Integration and Test Leads
• Supporting the Adaptive Planning workstream ahead of the FY28 budget cycle
• Documenting and transitioning financial control knowledge into BAU finance ahead of project close

The ideal candidate will be:

• Have exposure in a core group finance function, with recent exposure to consolidations
• Experienced with Workday in a core Financials context, ideally from a prior implementation
• Comfortable in environments with a centralised cost model
• Confident operating with ambiguity, shifting scope and tight timelines
• Pragmatic rather than process bound, with a solutions first approach
