About the Role
Lead one of the most significant infrastructure modernisation programs in government. You’ll shape the end‑to‑end technical architecture, guide platform build and migration activities, and ensure secure, resilient and supportable hosting environments across OFFICIAL and PROTECTED domains.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain the integrated technical architecture for the program
- Lead architects, engineers, administrators and vendors across delivery streams
- Oversee platform build, configuration, integration and commissioning
- Direct migration strategy, sequencing, cutover and rollback governance
- Ensure operational readiness, service acceptance and smooth transition to BAU
- Present risks, decisions and technical recommendations to governance forums
Key Focus Areas
- Azure Local, Hyper‑V hosting, VMware migration
- Enterprise compute, storage, networking and data centre readiness
- Commvault backup and recovery integration
- Secure environment design across OFFICIAL and PROTECTED zones
- Monitoring, operational enablement and service transition
What You Bring
- Proven leadership in large‑scale infrastructure modernisation programs
- Strong architecture and detailed design capability across hosting platforms
- Hands‑on experience with Hyper‑V, VMware migrations and enterprise Windows Server
- Deep understanding of secure environments, privileged access and platform hardening
