About the Role
Help modernise and transition enterprise backup and recovery services as part of a major infrastructure refresh. You’ll design, build, optimise and migrate Commvault environments while ensuring backup and restore capability remains stable throughout delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement refreshed Commvault backup and recovery architecture
- Configure media agents, repositories, policies, retention and deduplication
- Validate backup performance, restore workflows, throughput and resilience
- Lead migration of backup jobs, repositories and historical data
- Maintain coexistence between legacy and refreshed platforms
- Produce operational documentation, restore procedures and handover packages
Key Focus Areas
- Commvault CommServe, Media Agents, DDB, retention and reporting
- Repository architecture across SAN, NAS and enterprise storage
- Backup migration, coexistence and legacy platform retirement
- Secure separation, encryption, immutability and cyber recovery
- Integration with compute, storage, virtualisation and monitoring
What You Bring
- Extensive hands‑on Commvault engineering and migration experience
- Strong understanding of backup storage performance and recovery validation
- Enterprise Windows Server, AD, virtualisation and infrastructure knowledge
- Experience working in secure or segregated environments
- Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation and ORR/AIS artefacts
