Finance/AP Officer
- Full-cycle accounts payable including invoice processing and supplier reconciliations.
- Support with BAS, PAYG and compliance reporting.
- Back-up payroll support and assist with financial controls.
About the company and team:
An established commercial construction business based in Melbourne's east, delivering projects across a diverse range of sectors. You'll join a small, close-knit finance team that reports to the CFO - a trusting, flexible and caring manager. You'll be trained and supported by an experienced colleague who knows the full AP and payroll function. Construction industry or Jobpac experience is a bonus but not essential, as full training is provided. More importantly, they're looking for someone who will be a great fit for the team: a strong communicator and team player who is proactive, enjoys solving problems, and genuinely cares about their role, the business and the people around them.

Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle accounts payable: invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, employee expenses, and weekly and month-end payment runs
- Month-end reconciliations and journals (general ledger and credit cards)
- Support with BAS, PAYG and other compliance reporting
- Back-up payroll support, including entitlements, super, Incolink and Co-invest (training provided)
- Support financial controls and audits, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role and a demonstrated stable work history
- Construction industry experience preferred, but other industries will be considered
- Experience with accounting systems (familiarity with Jobpac is a bonus)
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Pro-active approach and a natural problem solver
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
