Your new company& Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Media Advisor to join a high-performing communications team supporting a prominent public-facing leader. This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same, combining media relations, strategic communications, social media management and stakeholder engagement. Working across a busy and complex portfolio, you will develop and deliver proactive media opportunities, respond to media enquiries, manage emerging issues and provide timely communications advice. You will produce high-quality content including media releases, statements, briefing materials, key messages and digital content that supports broader strategic objectives. You will play a key role in managing social media channels, identifying opportunities to engage audiences through compelling content, video and visual storytelling. Working closely with internal communications specialists and stakeholders, you will help coordinate integrated campaigns, support media events and monitor emerging media and social media trends.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or similar
  • Experience in media relations, communications or public affairs
  • Strong understanding of traditional, digital and social media channels
  • Proven ability to write media releases, statements, key messages and briefing materials
  • Experience managing media enquiries and supporting issues management responses
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
