BEACH SPORTS ATTENDANT – Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island Beach Sports offers an array of water based activities to our guests including windsurfers, catamarans and paddle skis as well as snorkeling. The enthusiastic and dedicated Beach Sports team is currently recruiting for a Beach Sports Attendant to join their successful team. As the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, our safe waters, spectacular marine life and relaxed island lifestyle are a magnet for yachting, fishing, diving, beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts from all around the world.

Your Role
You will be part of a team of five beach attendants, assisting our guests and ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for them.
Where you’ll make an impact
- Assist guests with the use of all beach sports equipment - Hobie Cats, SUPs, kayaks, catamarans and snorkels
- Provide instructional lessons for guests with a focus on safety
- Ensure all supplies are maintained and are in a safe and operable working order
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance on all equipment
- Respond to all guest enquiries and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
- Administrative duties as required
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the patience to work effectively with team members. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time efficiently are essential in this role.
To be successful, you will need:
- You have a driver license (essential)
- You have your Coxswain Grade 3 or above ticket (essential)
- You have, or are willing to get, your First Aid Certificate, Advanced Resuscitation and QLD RSA (essential)
- You love the outdoors and are comfortable working outside - rain, hail or shine
- You are confident in and around the water, with experience sailing, surf lifesaving and snorkelling
- You love customer service and understand risk and risk management
