We’re looking for a talented Mechatronics Engineer to join Expo Centric. With a focus on software automation, you’ll develop scripts, integrations and computer-driven control systems that improve how our Production, Warehouse and Design teams' work. You’ll also contribute to 3D printing, prototyping, robotics and warehouse automation.

- Design, develop and maintain software automations and system integrations that reduce manual work across production, warehousing and business operations.
- Develop integrated mechatronic systems using mechanical, electronic and software components, including sensors, actuators, controllers and robotic equipment.
- Assess automation opportunities, prepare technical specifications and conduct feasibility, cost and performance studies to guide project priorities.
- Design, prepare and run 3D printing jobs for prototypes, custom exhibition stand components and production aids, maintaining equipment and print quality.
- Commission, test, troubleshoot and continuously improve automated and robotic systems, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and minimal downtime.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Design teams, providing clear documentation, training and handover so systems can be used confidently.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, robotics or software engineering.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, with experience integrating systems through APIs.
- Hands-on 3D printing experience, from preparing a CAD model through to producing the finished part.
- Confidence using CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, along with slicing software and Microsoft Office.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, close attention to detail and the ability to document technical work clearly while managing multiple projects.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to explain technical solutions in practical language to colleagues across different teams.
Experience with PLCs, sensors, vision systems, industrial controls, Git, Power BI, ClickUp, Trello, ERP or warehouse management systems will be highly regarded. Experience in exhibitions, events, manufacturing or warehouse environments, as well as Engineers Australia membership or progress towards CPEng, would also be advantageous.
