We are seeking an experienced Manager Cost & Schedule Analyst to play a key role in the planning, performance measurement, cost control, and schedule management of major projects within a highly regulated and technically complex environment. 6 month contract, Garden Island or Woolloomooloo based,Active Baseline or Above required.
Your new role
Reporting into the PMO function, you will be responsible for maintaining and analysing project performance baselines, providing Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise, and delivering cost and schedule insights that support informed decision-making across project teams. You will work closely with Project Managers, Control Account Managers, Work Package Managers, and key stakeholders to ensure project performance is accurately measured, monitored, and reported. This position offers the opportunity to influence major programs while contributing to best-practice project controls, forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage project performance measurement baselines and Earned Value Management data. Analyse cost and schedule performance, including variance analysis and forecasting. Support project teams in the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS), Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM), and associated project controls documentation. Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and provide schedule analysis using critical path and PERT methodologies. Prepare and contribute to project and PMO performance reporting and dashboards. Assist with Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews and financial performance analysis. Support risk and opportunity management activities. Work closely with finance, project controls, and delivery teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Coach and mentor junior project controls professionals. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project management processes.

What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.Significant experience working in an Earned Value Management environment.Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle.Advanced experience with EVM systems such as Cobra or equivalent tools.Experience using Primavera P6 and other project scheduling software.Knowledge of schedule health assessments, critical path analysis, and project forecasting techniques.Strong financial analysis and budget management capability.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.The ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable project insightsWhat you'll get in return
