Residential Building Manager opportunity with an established Sydney building management business. Experienced Assistant Building Managers encouraged to apply.
An exciting opportunity is available for a Building Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of a residential building in Sydney.
Salary up to $105,000 + Super
We are looking for an experienced Residential Building Manager who can take ownership of building operations, contractor performance, maintenance and stakeholder relationships.
Experienced Assistant Building Managers who are ready to step up into their first Building Manager position are also encouraged to apply.
About the Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the building, including:

• Managing building operations and overall presentation
• Acting as the key point of contact for residents, owners, strata managers and contractors
• Coordinating reactive and preventative maintenance
• Conducting regular building inspections and identifying defects
• Managing contractors and service providers
• Coordinating maintenance requests through to completion
• Ensuring contractors deliver works efficiently and to a high standard
• Assisting with WHS, fire safety and statutory compliance
• Managing common areas and building services
• Obtaining and reviewing contractor quotations
• Coordinating minor works, repairs and capital projects
• Assisting with tendering and contractor procurement
• Attending BMC and stakeholder meetings
• Maintaining building records, work orders and compliance documentation
• Building strong relationships with residents and delivering a high level of customer service

About You We are ideally looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Residential Building Manager
• OR experience as an Assistant Building Manager ready to step up
• Strong contractor and maintenance management experience
• Knowledge of residential building operations
• Exposure to strata, BMCs, owners and resident relationships
• Understanding of building compliance, fire safety and statutory requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and administration skills
• A proactive and hands-on approach
• The ability to take ownership, solve problems and make decisions
