Your new company
Hays is partnering with a consultancy supporting a major Defence air capability program seeking an experienced Communications and Data Network Integration Engineer to support Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) capability development within Air Force Headquarters.This role will provide specialist engineering support across communications networks, tactical data links, interoperability, systems integration and command-and-control capabilities supporting Australia's future integrated air and missile defence architecture.
Your new role
- Provide systems engineering and technical integration support across IAMD capability programs.
- Support communications networks, sensor integration and weapon system integration activities.
- Develop requirements, conduct technical assessments and contribute to architecture development.
- Support Tactical Data Links, Defence Networks and interoperability initiatives.
- Review contractor deliverables and provide engineering assurance.
- Develop interface control documentation, architecture products and technical artefacts
- Support certification, compliance and interoperability assessments
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and technical forums.
- Engage with Defence stakeholders, integrators, OEMs and project teams.
- Support strategic capability planning and project milestone activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) experience.
- Defence systems engineering and systems integration experience.
- Communications and Data Networks engineering expertise.
- Tactical Data Links and Defence Networks experience.
- Architecture development and interface management experience.
- Defence capability development experience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and technical writing skills.
- Applicants must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance at minimum. NV2 or TSPV is highly desirable.
