Payroll Officer
Immediate Start | Contract Role | Competitive Hourly RateAn opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a busy and supportive team on a short-term contract basis. This role will suit a payroll professional who is confident managing end-to-end payroll processing in a high-volume environment and can quickly integrate into an established team.You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
• Manage payroll transactions including new starters, terminations, leave and payroll adjustments
• Maintain employee records and payroll data integrity
• Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation and payroll regulations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within payroll processes

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position
• Experience processing payroll within a high-volume environment
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation obligations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with payroll systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
