Your new companyIn this role, you will be responsible for delivery of the regions infrastructure projects in the preconstruction phase (from completed Business Case or Scoping documents through Preliminary and Detailed Design to Issue for Construction documentation). Tasks include assisting or acting as the Project Manager in managing and administering project delivery including design, tendering/procurement, contract administration and completion of construction contract documentation.
Your new roleIn the role of Project Engineer (Civil) you will manage or assist the Project Manager in the delivery of key components of the road infrastructure program and provide specialist technical expertise and advice to infrastructure projects and to other professional and technical staff to ensure successful delivery of the projects within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations. Accountabilities include:

Provide task-focused support to the Project Manager/Team Leader in the delivery of projects and contracts Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project scope and assist in managing risks and mitigating delays Undertake site visits as required to support coordination with the Project Manager Attend meetings and provide technical input on behalf of TMR Maintain project budgets, forecasts and schedules in TMR systems (3PCM, P6)Ensure project expenditure is accurately recorded in SAP, including progress claims and end-of-month accruals Assist with procurement of consultants, contractors and suppliers in accordance with TMR policies and procedures Assist with consultant/contractor progress payment claims and project financial reporting Support contract administration including variations, extensions of time, delay claims, and stakeholder correspondence Administer project documentation, maintain filing structures, and ensure records are complete and compliant Support effective communication with project teams, management and Communications team Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities Keep the Project Manager/Team Leader informed of project progress, issues, risks, and emerging concerns Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action for the design and construction of road infrastructure

What you'll need to succeedFour-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.Registered as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)Minimum eight (8) years experience delivering transport infrastructure projectsClass C drivers licenceOH&S Construction Induction (white card or equivalent) will be required by the successful applicant prior to commencement of work.Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role
