About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Controller / Inventory Planner to support inventory, purchasing and logistics activities within a growing engineering and manufacturing business.This role would suit someone with experience in warehousing, stores, inventory control or logistics who is looking to transition into a more office-based position while remaining closely connected to day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting purchasing activities and assisting with logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support inventory planning activities.
  • Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers regarding stock requirements.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight and logistics activities.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems.
  • Prepare inventory and purchasing reports as required.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure stock availability and efficient workflow.

About You

  • Previous experience in warehousing, stores, inventory control, logistics or supply chain administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Comfortable using ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across warehouse and office environments.
  • A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
