INTERIOR DESIGNER – MID LEVEL
Workplace and Commercial D&C – Sydney

  • 2 days WFH + flexible hours
  • Real design input and client exposure
  • Clear progression in a leading Workplace D&C studio

This is not a back of house documentation role.

This is for a commercially aware Interior Designer who understands workplace, thrives in a D&C environment and wants real responsibility.

We are partnering with a nationally recognised Workplace Design and Construct business with a strong Sydney presence. They deliver high quality commercial & workplace interiors and are looking for a mid level Interior Designer who can balance creativity with delivery.

I will say this. They are the only D&C company I choose to work with these days. That comes down to their culture, the way they treat people and the standard of work they consistently produce.

THE ROLE

You will be involved across the full project lifecycle from concept through to documentation, coordination and delivery.

You will contribute to design direction, not just produce drawings. On smaller projects, you will step into the room to help pitch ideas, talk strategy and engage directly with clients when required.
This role suits someone who enjoys both the creative side of workplace and the commercial reality behind it.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Proven workplace and commercial interior experience
  • Ideally previous experience within a Design and Construct environment
  • Excellent Revit skills. This is essential
  • Strong technical documentation capability
  • Proactive and can-do attitude to work tasks
  • Creative but commercially aware
  • Confident communicator who can represent the design when needed

THE STUDIO

  • Strong pipeline of national workplace projects
  • Genuinely great office culture
  • 2 days WFH per week – Industry leading where WFH is now becoming a thing of the past!
  • Flexible working hours
  • Supportive leadership and clear progression

REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design [ESSENTIAL]
Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in Australian office/studio
  • Unrestricted full working rights [ESSENTIAL] Must currently be a Sydney resident
  • Demonstrated experience in the commercial and workplace sectors [ESSENTIAL]
  • Strong Revit capability [ESSENTIAL]

This would suit someone who wants more ownership, more visibility and the opportunity to grow within a serious Workplace D&C environment.

If this sounds like a good fit, please apply with your up-to-date resume to matthewjames.graham@acrworld.com or call 0417 333 090 for a confidential chat

Your application will be treated as strictly confidential. Only shortlisted candidates who meet the [ESSENTIAL] experience above will be contacted.
