Prospero Health and Social Care are working with a well-established Medical Centre in Queensland who are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The Nurse Practitioner will join a successful, medical centre who pride themselves on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our diverse community. Our practice offers a wide range of general medical services, and we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join their team.
The Role
As a Nurse Practitioner at their clinic, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, patient-focused care. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced doctors and healthcare professionals, providing holistic care to patients across all ages. Your role will include assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patient health conditions, with a particular focus on preventive healthcare, chronic disease management, and minor injuries.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and histories.
  • Provide evidence-based, high-quality care across a broad range of clinical conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage common health conditions, including chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and minor injuries.
  • Prescribe medications within your scope of practice.
  • Provide health education and advice to patients and their families.
  • Support the team in delivering coordinated care to patients with complex healthcare needs.
  • Perform health screenings, vaccinations, and preventative health checks.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to improve patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.

Essential Nurse Practitioner Criteria

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Advanced practice qualification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Strong clinical experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient-focused approach with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nurse Practitioner Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory conditions.
  • Experience in women's and men’s health, mental health, or paediatrics.
  • Ability to conduct minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, etc.).
