About the role
The OPD Finance and Commercial team have an exciting role for an experienced Commercial Cost Modeller & Analyst to provide the business with commercial insights to support decision making. You’ll blend your technical modelling expertise with a commercial lens to business partner and actively seek information across operations to ensure the models and insights are reflective. In this role you’ll play a vital part in maximising commercial returns without compromising integrity by strengthen our data accuracy, model transparency and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll Build, maintain, and enhance commercial and operational models (roster costing, labour costing, scenario modelling and funding models).
- Translate model outputs into clear insights tailored for operational leaders.
- Develop and maintain roster costing tools that align with EA requirements, operational needs, and commercial frameworks.
- Analyse roster and labour cost implications to highlight risks, inefficiencies and financial impact
- Ensure claims are accurate, well-governed, fully supported, and compliant with contractual requirements.
- Build and refine models that support operational and commercial forecasting whilst validate assumptions, interpret drivers, and support strategic decisions with insight-driven analysis.
- Foster strong relationships with operational teams, uplifting commercial literacy and decision-making confidence
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, financial, or contract management roles within complex operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, operational, or financial analysis.
- Advanced modelling and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work with non-financial stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and cost drivers.
- Experience documenting processes and improving consistency in commercial workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to roster costing methodologies or workforce analytics
