About the Role
As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for planning, executing and completing audit engagements across a broad range of clients. You’ll work closely with partners and managers, lead fieldwork, review workpapers and financial statements, and guide junior team members in their development.
You will contribute directly to the stability and growth of our Newcastle practice, helping us deliver clear, thorough, and reliable audit outcomes.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with auditing and accounting standards.
  • Providing guidance, supervision, and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Building and maintaining strong, trusting client relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting firm-wide growth initiatives.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Commerce/Business degree with an Accounting major.
  • Is CA/CPA qualified or progressing toward completion.
  • Brings 3+ years’ external audit experience, ideally within public practice.
  • Has strong technical knowledge of accounting and audit standards.
  • Communicates with clarity, confidence, and care – in plain English.
  • Builds strong relationships and works well with clients, teams, and partners.
  • Notices the details, asks questions, and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Holds full Australian work rights.
