Hays Senior Finance & Accounting is proud to be partnering with KAUP Australia in the appointment of a Company Accountant. Part of the globally recognised KAUP Group, this German-owned engineering and materials handling organisation combines multinational backing with the agility of a local SME. Reporting directly to the Australian Managing Director, this role offers the opportunity to lead the finance function across Australia and New Zealand while partnering with international stakeholders and contributing to ongoing finance transformation initiatives.

Your new role
This is a hands-on position suited to a commercially minded accountant who enjoys operating across both strategic and operational finance.
Key responsibilities include:

• Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• General ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations
• Month-end reporting and financial analysis
• Project accounting, job costing and inventory reporting
• Payroll oversight and statutory compliance
• BAS, Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation lodgements
• Capex reporting and expenditure analysis
• Oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Support ERP improvements and future SAP initiatives
• Business partnering with operational stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a Company Accountant, Finance Manager or Management Accountant role
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting capabilities
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, logistics, construction or similar environments
• Experience with project accounting, inventory and job costing
• Exposure to ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
• SAP experience highly regarded
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on, proactive and commercially focused approach
