HV ELECTRICIAN

AAMG is currently seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin.
About the Role:
Working within the mobile maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of high-voltage systems on heavy mobile mining equipment while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across high-voltage electrical systems
- Maintaining inverters, converters, traction motors, HV batteries and associated components
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs
- Using diagnostic software and specialised testing equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Completing testing and maintenance in line with OEM specifications and site requirements
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and complying with site safety procedures
About You - To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Current HV Switching qualification
- Current CPR/LVR
- Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Proven HV electrical experience on heavy mobile mining equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with CAT, Komatsu and/or Liebherr equipment will be highly regarded
- A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality workmanship
