We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join a well-established private dental practice in Gladstone, Queensland.

About the role
As the Senior Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of the clinical team, providing high-level chairside assistance while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality four-handed chairside assistance
- Supporting dentists across a broad range of procedures
- Preparing surgeries and maintaining excellent infection-control standards
- Sterilisation and instrument management
- Maintaining clinical and patient documentation
- Supporting the wider dental assisting team
- Helping mentor and develop junior Dental Assistants
- Assisting with stock control and clinical supplies
- Ensuring treatment rooms are prepared and maintained to a high standard
- Contributing to an exceptional patient experience
- Assisting with the smooth running of the clinical floor
About you
We’re looking for someone who is more than just an experienced Dental Assistant — we’re looking for someone who is ready to step up and take ownership.
You will ideally have:
- 3+ years’ dental assisting experience
- Previous experience in a senior or team-leading capacity
- Strong four-handed dentistry skills
- Excellent knowledge of infection control and sterilisation
- Confidence assisting across a range of dental procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A professional and patient-focused approach
- The ability to support and mentor other team members
- A genuine passion for dentistry and patient care
