Position: Welder

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Altona North VIC 3025

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join their team in Altona North, Victoria.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.

·Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding techniques as required.

·Prepare, cut, fit, align, and assemble metal components for welding.

·Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery safely.

·Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.

·Measure materials and components using appropriate hand and measuring tools.

·Identify and repair welding defects, cracks, and other fabrication issues.

·Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE.

·Maintain a clean and organised work area.

·Work with different types of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

·Complete welding and fabrication tasks within required timeframes and quality standards.

·Report equipment faults, material issues, and safety concerns to supervisors.

Requirements:

·Certificate III or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade

·At least 12 months of relevant experience as a Welder

·Competency in MIG welding

·Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes

·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

·Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·Understanding of workplace safety standards and safe work practices.
