Accountant

A well-established, privately owned group is looking for an Accountant to join its finance team. The business operates across a diverse portfolio of entities, with a collaborative culture and a strong focus on delivering great outcomes. This is a small, high-performing team where your work is noticed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting across a portfolio of group entities
• Manage the general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close for each entity
• Prepare financial statements and support the annual audit process
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Support BAS, GST and tax compliance, and liaise with external accountants and auditors
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and improvements to finance processes and controls

Experience:

• Degree qualified in accounting or finance, with CA or CPA status (or progressing towards it)
• Proven experience in funds management, investment accounting or multi-entity accounting
• Experience across multiple entities, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and exposure to AI / streamlining process
• Understanding of GST, BAS and tax compliance. (Not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders
• Clear written and verbal communication
