About Visy:

Visy is a leader in packaging, paper and recycling, powering the circular economy through integrated manufacturing and resource recovery. At our Coolaroo site, the Co-Generation (CoGen) plant plays a critical role in supporting Visy’s pulp and paper operations. The facility converts non-recyclable waste materials into energy, generating electricity and steam that helps power the adjacent paper manufacturing sites. This reduces reliance on grid energy while diverting hundreds of tonnes of waste from landfill each day. By transforming residual materials into a valuable energy source, the CoGen plant directly contributes to the efficiency, sustainability and cost-effectiveness of Visy’s paper production, helping close the loop within our recycling and manufacturing system.
