Short-term accommodation available for relocating applicants
Our client is a well-established, four-vet small animal practice located in a highly sought-after coastal region in Port Stephens, just north of Newcastle and moments from the beach. This opportunity would particularly suit a veterinarian with a strong interest in surgery who is looking to combine professional growth with an enviable coastal lifestyle.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a permanent basis. The role offers a balanced mix of medicine and surgery, supported by an experienced and capable nursing team.
The clinic is well equipped with ultrasound, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, and electrocautery (with everything you need on-site except CT and MRI).
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent, recognised in Australia
- A minimum of two years' experience (preferred)
- Confidence in soft tissue surgery
- Orthopaedic experience (advantageous but not essential)
What's on Offer:
- A unique long-term bonus/equity incentive program
- Paid Veterinary Board Registration, Radiation Licence, and VIN membership (pro-rata for part-time)
- Paid Parental Leave plus additional Purrental Leave for new pet parents
- $1,500 annual CPD allowance and one week of paid study leave
- Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance for eligible overseas candidates
- Access to a comprehensive online learning and development platform
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for wellbeing support
- Employee benefits program with discounts on groceries, fuel, entertainment, fashion, and more
- Novated vehicle leasing options
- Access to a broad professional support network
