Subsurface Vacuum Technician

Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Subsurface Vacuum Technician to join their growing team, based in Welshpool. This is a full-time position supporting service locators across the Perth metro area, working hands-on in the field to safely expose and verify underground utilities using vacuum excavation equipment and hand tools.
This role is considered an entry-level opportunity into the utility locating industry and would suit someone with a background in civil, construction, or underground services who is keen to build a long-term career in this space.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating vacuum excavation trucks and supporting site works
- Assisting service locators to safely expose underground utilities
- Using hand tools and site equipment in line with safety procedures
- Working around live underground services in active environments
- Following all site safety, environmental, and traffic management requirements
What you’ll need:
- MR licence (highly regarded)
- White Card
- Previous experience in civil works, construction, drilling offsider roles, or underground services
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all conditions
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work well as part of a tight-knit team
