About the role
As a Child Care Educator in our not‑for‑profit OSHC service, you’ll help create engaging, high‑quality experiences that support children’s learning and wellbeing. This role offers a clear pathway to grow into an Educational Leader, with mentoring and hands‑on opportunities to build your skills in program planning and quality practice. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values professional development and the positive impact we make in our community.
Our OSHC provides before‑school, after‑school, and vacation care on the beautiful grounds of St Bernard’s Primary School in Berowra Heights.
Location: Berowra Heights NSW
Employed: Permanent part time
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7am to 10am and 2:00pm to 6pm (35 hours per week)
You will bring with you:
- Support program planning and quality practice using the My Time, Our Place Framework
- Assist the Coordinator and step into the Responsible Person role when required
- Assist with school transitions, meal preparation, and daily routines
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, hygienic environment with engaging play experiences
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and your team
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Experience working with school aged children
- Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting
- Completion of Identify & Report Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT025) or equivalent
