An exciting opportunity exists to join the Financial Assistance Unit within Victim Assist Queensland as an Assessor on a fixed term temporary basis.
The Assessor will be appointed by the Chief Executive as a Government Assessor under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009 (Section 128). This position reports to the Team Leader, Financial Assistance Unit and will:
- Perform functions as required under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009.
- Undertake evidence-based decision making in line with legislative intent to provide financial assistance to victims of crime.
- Provide authoritative advice to administrative officers as required to enable the timely and responsive delivery of services to victims of crime.
