Internal Expression of Interest Only – 3-Month Secondment

An exciting internal secondment opportunity is available for a motivated and experienced employee to step into the role of Social Team Leader – Community.

The role: As Social Team Leader – Community, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of social programs delivered across community settings. You will ensure programs align with the organisation’s social model and product specifications, while supporting customers to stay engaged, connected, and thriving.

This full-time 3-month secondment will also provide critical support to the Head of Social, contributing to strategic outcomes and continuous improvement across the team.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of social programs, ensuring they are inclusive, engaging, and aligned to customer needs.
  • Manage all logistics related to planning, organising, and resourcing the social program.
  • Manage/ supervise support workers and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Work closely with the Head of Social Programs to achieve broader organisational goals and contribute to ongoing program development and innovation.
  • Monitor program performance, maintain accurate records, and ensure all activities meet safety and quality standards.

About you!

  • Qualifications in health, community, business or other relevant area or working towards.
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills.
  • Aged or disability experience working in a similar role within a complex environment.
  • Experience working with people at risk of social isolation and loneliness including those from a CALD background/ATSI background and people living with memory loss or dementia.
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Standards, various government funding and private options that support social programs.
  • Knowledge of the local community, its strengths, its assets, social opportunities and services.
  • Experience in program coordination, event planning, community development or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills — you love a good checklist!
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A genuine passion for community connection, inclusion, and supporting people to live their best lives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, to work with volunteer, staff and customers.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
  • A current drivers licence.
