The Business
A well-established, market-leading importer, manufacturer, and distributor of high-growth food and beverage brands, supplying major supermarket chains, wholesale networks, and independent grocers across Australia and New Zealand.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CCO in an autonomous, high-visibility role, you will take full ownership of category strategy, range reviews, and retail presentations across Australia's biggest FMCG busineses. You will turn raw scan data into compelling commercial recommendations to defend and grow shelf presence.
What you'll do
- Lead category reviews, range rationalisation, and shelf-space recommendations for major retail accounts.
- Analyse raw portal data and syndicated scan data (Aztec, Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, Quantium).
- Build data-driven PowerPoint decks, Power BI dashboards, and advanced Excel models (VLOOKUPs, data cleansing).
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Procurement to validate pricing, commercial feasibility, and go-to-market plans for NPD launches.
- Deliver actionable performance scorecards directly to executive leadership.
About you
- Category management, commercial analysis, or retail buying/trading experience within FMCG / grocery.
- Hands-on proficiency with scan data platforms and advanced Excel modeling.
- Solid commercial acumen with experience presenting range reviews and space management recommendations.
- Self-starter capable of managing end-to-end data analysis and deck creation.
