About the business

A well-established, ASX-listed wholesale distribution business with operations across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. With a national branch network and a strong trade customer base, this is a large-scale supply chain environment where the work is fast-paced and high volume.

About the role 
This is a 6-month contract opportunity within a collaborative demand planning function. You will work closely with the merchandising team to anticipate demand shifts, maintain product lifecycle settings, and ensure the planning system accurately reflects current parameters.

Day to day, you will be working across two key systems — an advanced planning platform and an ERP — managing data inputs, reviewing forecasts, and supporting replenishment decisions. There is genuine scope for the right candidate to move into more complex demand forecasting work as they settle into the role.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update demand planning parameters and lifecycle settings in the planning system
• Collaborate with merchandising to align on demand expectations
• Ensure accuracy across planning and ERP systems
• Support data analysis and reporting across the supply chain function
• Work cross-functionally with a supply planning team of 10+

About you

• 1–3 years' experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related analytical role
• A genuine passion for building a career in supply chain — you want to understand how things work, not just complete tasks
• Comfortable working across planning and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail with a data-driven mindset
• A collaborative communicator who can work effectively with commercial and operational teams
• Someone who is honest about what they know and eager to keep learning
