LEAD THE DELIVERY OF ESSENTIAL WASTEWATER SERVICES ACROSS THE TOOWOOMBA REGION
Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator Wastewater Operations to lead a skilled team responsible for the operation of the Wetalla Water Reclamation Facility, Wetalla Advanced Water Treatment Plant, Yarraman and Crows Nest Wastewater Treatment Plants, and associated wastewater pumping station networks.

About the Role
As the Coordinator Wastewater Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of Council's central and northern wastewater treatment and pumping systems, ensuring reliable service delivery, regulatory compliance, and optimal plant performance.
You will:
- Lead and support operational teams across multiple wastewater facilities.
- Coordinate wastewater treatment, pumping and distribution activities.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Authorities and Council's Site Based Management Plans.
- Drive operational improvements and performance reporting.
- Provide technical leadership and expert advice on wastewater operations.
- Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems and data analysis.
- Manage operational budgets and resource allocation.
- Support the ongoing development and capability of operational staff.
About You
You will be a collaborative and proactive leader with experience in wastewater operations and a commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Science, or a related field, or significant equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in wastewater treatment, pumping and distribution systems.
- Strong leadership, operational planning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience interpreting and analysing operational data through SCADA and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A current Queensland "C" Class Driver's Licence.
