An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a leading Australian organisation currently experiencing significant growth. Based in Fortitude Valley, this permanent position offers the chance to work within a high-performing finance team in a modern office conveniently located near public transport, cafs, restaurants and retail amenities.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the month-end process and providing accurate financial reporting across the business. Your responsibilities will include bank, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, preparing financial reports, intercompany accounting, cash flow reporting, assisting with BAS preparation and lodgements, and contributing to budgeting activities.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have completed a relevant Accounting degree and, ideally be progressing towards your CPA or CA qualification. Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant position within a corporate environment is essential, along with strong month-end exposure, revenue accounting experience and reconciliation skills. You will be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
